Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School’s Global Searching for Dean and Faculty Positions

The School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology at The Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School invites nominations and applications for the Dean/Professor of School and three Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professors.

The School seeks an energetic and innovative leader who is dedicated to promote excellence in advocating for diverse teaching, research, extension, and outreach programs. The successful candidate should provide leadership and a strategic vision for the School, be committed to enhance the strength and cohesiveness of its existing research programs, and value and foster its basic and applied approaches to chemical biology & biotechnology. The candidate is expected to coordinate the school’s contribution to University-wide strategic planning initiatives and develop productive relationships with the numerous stakeholder groups. The successful candidate must have a distinguished record of scientific and educational accomplishment in an area encompassed by or related to the school’s diverse faculty expertise. Experience in academic, administrative or professional leadership, and the ability to actively support and promote the University’s diversity within the school is a requirement. In addition, the candidate should possess effective communication, consensus-building and interpersonal skills.

The School is seeking exceptional candidates for three full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Cancer Biology or Brain Science at the assistant or associate professor level. Qualified candidates must possess a PhD in relevant biological science from one of the top universities around the world; relevant postdoctoral experience (with a preference for three-to-five years of training), and outstanding research accomplishments in the field of cancer biology or neurobiology, including cancer genetics and proteomics, cancer cell biology, tumor microenvironment, cancer stem cells, metastasis, tumor immunology, chemical biology, cancer metabolism, oncogenic signal transduction pathways, genome integrity, cancer epigenetics, neurological disorders (neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric disorders) and drug discovery or treatment will be preferred. The successful candidates will develop their independent and funded research program that complements existing faculty strengths and provides exciting new opportunities for collaborative works.
